I NEVER watch TV during the day, but today, it's all about watching the mine rescue.

I'm transfixed. And so impressed by all the medical and technical teams involved.

Fingers crossed the remaining miners get out OK.

Right there with you. I have been transfixed on this story since it unfolded & so happy it's taken less time than they originally feared:)

It's a real testament for geeks around the world, especially engineers and medical professionals who figured out the best way to put a path through, the mode of transport, the pressure garments and eye protection they needed to wear and the best diet to be on ahead of time so they'd fit in the cage AND not get nauseous. It was truly amazing it went so perfectly.

I couldn't watch because I was at work, but every hour I'd go to MSN to see how many were out. When I left work, I think they were just waiting to bring up the last three. I cheered (and the dogs thought I was crazy) when I saw that they'd gotten the last one out.

Oh I know. I poured myself a glass of wine to celebrate the last one coming up. I'm also glad they kept the coverage on while they brought up the six rescue workers.
