Did you ever wonder what cats do while you're asleep? This guy did, so he set up a time lapse camera to find out.

I wouldn't be surprised to find the same activity from Tux and Ruby if I filmed my sleeping time!

That was pretty funny! I think it's a riot that the cat demands the guy's attention throughout the night; but probably sleeps during the day, with the man trying to get the man's attention. Since cats are somewhat 'tiny tigers and lions' it makes sense that they could be more nocturnal. Ruby ant Tux must love playing with you at night. :)

Well, I definitely know that Tux gets vocal and noisy around 5AM -- or probably when he hears me snoring/breathing differently. I expect he's an expert in RAM and deep sleep cycles and gears his actions to when they'll be most effective.

I noticed that guy's cat got more bold as the morning approached. He wasn't climbing on his owner's back or getting near his head till the room was lit. Tux begins jumping on and off the bed a lot or jumping on my dresser and pushing things off as the morning drags on and I'm not up.

What's funny is, Ruby loves to lie near my feet as I'm trying to go to sleep and my head when I wake up. Tux likes to be curled near my torso, and if he can get my arm circling him, all the better.

He also gets vocal some nights when I'm up past 11:30 -- like he thinks it's time I go to bed!

That's so freaking cute!

And yes, I often wake up with a cat half sitting on my head so I have no doubt they are trampling all over me during the night.

Ruby gets on the pillow and starts purring loudly and then she switches over to encircling my head, pinning me down by the hair, once I'm awake.

Tux will get up by my shoulder and meow at me.

Different approaches. It's very funny.

I have two mini cats and one of them has become like a lap dog to my hubby. He sits on his lap while he's on the computer and insists on sleeping under his arm at night, God forbid if i'm in that spot saying goodnight or cuddeling. He'll glare at me and if that doesn't work he'll plop down on me and face daddy. His sister likes to sleep on the top of your head and gets mad if you don't want her there. lol

They do make you feel their jealousy, don't they? I certainly get an unspoken dialogue from them in their looks and actions.

One of my cats puts her paw ever so gently on my face and then slowly releases the claws. Not enough to scratch, but enough to wake me up. When I open my eyes she starts purring. With as many cats as I have, no wonder I drink a pot of coffee every morning.

I'm pretty lucky not to get the claws as a wake-up technique. Must be careful they don't read your comment and get some ideas!
