CBC radio Toronto just interviewed David Shore -- writer, creative producer and show runner of House. When asked when we could expect to see newly-shot episodes.

Shore said it would be a couple of weeks before they get scripts ready. Then it goes to shooting, editing and all that.

Realistically, he said an episode would be ready for the END of April. Whether Fox schedules it as soon as it's produced is another question.

I was reading a piece earlier that said, of course the networks will put the push to get their big shows back on air ASAP. Half-hour shows -- particularly sitcoms -- will be ready first because they don't do location shoots and it's just faster to get a short show ready.

Then expect to see the big guns like Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. They don't have the huge amount of special effects that a show like CSI has, so I wonder if that will give them a jump on the competition to get  back on air. On the other hand, maybe a few of these shows already had scripts that are just days away from being finished up.

We'll know soon enough I'm sure. As soon as they can, the networks will start flooding the air with ads for the returning shows as if it's the fall season all over again.
